One crew member of the Panama-flagged MV Lowlands Comfort named Crispin F Cadiz died as a result of being hit by a ship’s crane. The ship which was in the Aceh waters immediately pulled over to evacuate the victim to the hospital.
The head of the Banda Aceh Basarnas, Ibnu Harris Al Hussain, said that the cargo ship which had a GT 43,013 initially drove from Suez Egypt to China.
“However, on the way, a crew member of the ship had an accident and died,” said Harris, Thursday, July 14, 2022.
Satu anak buah kapal (ABK) Kapal MV Lowlands Comfort berbendera Panama bernama Crispin F Cadiz meninggal dunia akibat terbentur crane kapal. Kapal yang sedang berada di jalur Perairan Aceh langsung menepi untuk mengevakuasi korban ke rumah sakit.
Kepala Basarnas Banda Aceh, Ibnu Harris Al Hussain, mengatakan kapal cargo yang memiliki GT 43.013 itu awalnya melaju dari Suez Egypt menuju China.
“Namun, dalam perjalanannya, seorang ABK kapal tersebut mengalami kecelakaan hingga meninggal dunia,” kata Harris, Kamis, 14 Juli 2022.
